omg never before in my life had i wished so hard that i'm 10cm taller. =(
came across the blog of an air stewardess and read her entries on her visits to istanbul, australia and DUBAI!!! so cool.. and im terribly envious.
it has always been my secret dream to become an air stewardess.
being able to fly and visit the world, meeting global people, learning and gaining experiences...
i've heard people describing the job as a "waitress in the air", but i dont think it's demeaning to be serving people on planes.. rather, it's the warped mentality people have of air crew that resulted in the disrespect.
anyway, out of curiousity, i surfed the net for the standards of being a "SIA Girl" and i couldnt even get pass the second criteria.
the first was to hold singapore citizenship, which i'm very proud of having.
the second, was to be at least 1.58m.
i think i have never been hit so hard by a mere 0.1 before.

i just made a very, very crazy decision.
and as much as im super excited about it, my heart weighs a tonne and i cant explain why.
but as my brother said, "it's a wild world", so i should play along with it. right? haha.

after all the changes that has taken place in my life, i still cant come to terms with the fact that human relationships can be so... fragile.
bridges of trust that took years of effort and bonding can come all crashing down in a moment, and all comes to naught. hmmmm.

AIYAH i think i've just caught the fever of well-groomed nails. lol!
but in my case it's only pedicure, cos i dont really like the feeling of having something on my fingernails...
anyway! up till now, i still cant stop staring at my toes, occasionally touching the smooth surface due to the polish! wahahhahha
i would love to post a pic of my now-sexified toenails, but because there's a slight defect... i think dont want lah. haha!
i have no idea if the defect was due to mistake or did she just feign ignorance.. i kinda regret now that i didnt bring up the matter last friday though. should have asked for $2 discount or something. RARR.
and because my auntie+mum keep nagging at how costly the professional pedicure was, i think im just gonna buy nail polishes and DIY!!
but i forgot to ask to look at the bottle that day, so i have no idea what's the name of the shade im using now.. except that it's #99. lol
well it's a very bright red that has a pearly sheen to it, it shimmers in the light!
catches attention yet doesnt scream for it. classy - i like! woohoo! =D
shall go shopping for nail polishes soon.. heh heh!
bringing my mum to Ga Tao Mo tmr.. she's the second (third?) customer im bringing there! lol.

wooo i had my first ever professional pedicure today!
i have very pretty red toe nails now and i cant stop looking at them! hohoho shiny, shimmery red, i like!!! =D
at first i felt kinda uncomfortable having someone pay such close attention to my toes.. but it was okay after awhile. hahahaha it was a fun experience!
and while i was staring at my toes on the way home, a thought crossed my mind.. that a typical woman in the working society has to bear very high cost of grooming herself in order to look presentable!
for example, assuming these activities are carried out once a month only,
haircut: $30-$50 (excluding the occasional hair treatment/coloration!)
facial treatment: $50-$60
manicure + pedicure (basic ones, excluding nail art): $60
facial treatment: $50-$60

that amounts to about $150 on self-grooming alone, excluding beauty products, make-up, clothes etc!!! omg omg so scary right! hahahha!
my motto for this month is, "EAT LESS, BUY MORE".
this way i can put lesser junk food into my mouth, and feed my wardrobe more. thats killing 2 birds with one stone! so clever right? LOL
im going cycling on monday! yay! =)

well these photos were taken the day we went to qifang's birthday chalet! the four of us girls went to town to look for qf's present first, and then sky came to pick us!
a kind ah pek helped us to take these 2 shots, after seeing we were struggling with the camera.
but we actually preferred "big-head style!" lol
she saw the camera and her first reaction was to pose!

hmmm. i had a splendid saturday over the weekend!
unfortunately, my shopping urge is back - stronger than ever before!
so the resources i had fiercely guarded for so long was ferociously depleting.. all in a week's work. =(
but its okay, at least now i have nice clothes to wear to the next few upcoming 21st birthday parties! LOL
i brought ray to Gataomo on saturday, and that makes a third happy customer!
the guy even trimmed my hair when i mentioned that my hair becomes wavy sometimes.. free of charge!
that's what i call SERVICE! 3 thumbs up! =D
happy customers of GTM!!

today was like a roller coaster ride itself!
it was a low, then high, then higher, then low, then highest, then low again.
i didnt even described it randomly, it was all in chronological order.lol
early in the morning i had a "journey to the west", where i boarded the slowest bus ever during peak hour, and it happened to be the one that took the longest route. omg i almost died on that bus.
but anyways, an amazing thing happened to me today and i would like to think it was good karma. hahhahahahhahaa!
im starting to enjoy going to school now, a feeling that eluded me for the past 8 months or so.
mainly its because i met 2 wonderful girls, same age, same frequency - woohoo!
and now my class is 75% singaporeans as well, the other 25% seems nice too. woohoohoo!
after school, melissa, linzi and i went to walk around town while we waited for topshop's "mid-summer preview sale".
i had no idea what it meant, but the point is - UP TO 50% OFF! must-go right. haha!
it was a crazy, crazy rush!
while i was queuing - feeling faint, hot, hungry - i thought it was the last time im going to take part in the "private sale" in which practically the whole world was involved.
until i saw the bill.
i had expected 20% off this damn gorgeous top that was $103 - but IT WAS ONLY $33.51!!!!
omg omg omg i thought i was dreaming. LOL
so anyway, i totally regretted not getting more stuff lah. i queued for a freaking 2 hours for ONE TOP. wah lao my legs were on the verge of giving way and i almost puked due to excessive gastric juices.
i even ignored a phone call by accident because i thought it was my stomach growling, not the phone vibrating. hahaha!
so im a happy girl!
hmmmmmm. at least until i was left to fend for myself on the mrt on the way home.

today was haircut day with wormie wong!
actually i'd intended to spend only a fraction of our time on hair-cutting.. but we ended up staying a good 3 hours in the salon instead because lh decided to colour her hair..
but well, since we're both very satisfied with the outcome, it was time well-spent! heh heh! *grins*
after walking out of the salon and spending about 10mins in the washroom, we only had 1 hour left before lh had to leave because she wanted to catch jolin on tv. lol
so.. we sped-shopped!
she bought a very pretty hot pink bracelet, while i got 2 gold bangles and a black tulip skirt for my upcoming formal presentation! hohoho!
i realised that, as much as i love reading blogs with tonnes of photos, i havent been contributing much myself.. mainly because blogger isnt very pictures-friendly! i hate how the pictures always appear at the top of the post once its uploaded, meaning i have to drag it alllllll the way down if i want it at the bottom of the post! grrrrr
but i shall start the habit to up the "interesting" factor of my blog! hahaha!

these days i talk lesser with him than his colleagues do.
i see him lesser than his colleagues get to.
we dont chat much online either, because when we do, he's busy reading soccer websites or blog-hopping and i hate it when i receive divided attention.
and nowadays i even have to make advanced bookings..
but he still forgot we were supposed to have dinner together on thursday; someone else took over that time slot.
he doesnt have time to do something for me.. because his hands are already full with magazines, superpokin' and PS2-ing.
is this how it should be?
i can only imagine what's coming when the new school term begins..
