hello everyone!
been a long time since i last updated huh.

hmm just chatted with my bro online and once again, i brought up the issue of wanting to study in aussie too, hoping he'd be slightly more supportive this time.

of course
, he wasnt - he even chided me.

he said something like,
"everytime you say you want to do this and that, just take it with a pinch of salt because you never do it. i think by the time you're 30, you wont even get your bachelors degree yet".

haha.
it was so very, very hurting to see him saying that because i have always respected his input when i need to make a decision.
yes im known among my friends to be 'the fickle one' because im always changing my mind abt everything - from poly/jc, to pjc/ajc, to ntu/tourism academy, to mdis/apmi. and now, to add on to the list: singapore/australia.

i guess only the heavens know why i've landed myself in this state.
there are times i feel like i've ruined my future single-handedly and that my ideals are too far beyond my reach.
it's really tough being on the path less travelled, with no one to look to for reassurance of success.

but when i try to confide in people about how i feel, more often that not im merely told to 'have more faith' or 'believe in yourself'.

it's not that i regret my decision.. but there are times when i doubt my own capabilities and wonder if perhaps, im building more sandcastles in the air than my little brain can achieve.

i cant fault anyone for these i know, because i chose this path myself.
but it was never my intention to make such a HUGGGEE roundabout either, wasting a year's time and money, only to find myself studying alongside a bunch of 16-year-olds who had flung their O-levels.

i wish i had my brother's strong will, my dad's determination or even my mother's non-acquisitive character..

when will things start looking up for me? =(

my brother is in sydney!
and it sure has turned the household upside down.

but its definitely comforting to know he's currently living in a bungalow, located in a beautiful neighbourhood.
he said the australians he'd met so far are friendly, and he has a singaporean friend there too. that's comforting to know.
he took pictures of his room to show us and it's clean, tidy and hugge. he even has a toilet of his own. that's very comforting to know too.

but he said the weather is very, very cold and when my mum and i spoke to him through the webcam yesterday, he was teary and sniffing. he said it's cos of the weather, my mum thinks he's home sick. i hope its the former.

my parents cant stop talking about him.. it's not that im jealous or anything stupid like that, but i find that the more you talk abt him, the more you think, worry and miss.
that's not very good. =(

bye everyone, off to a fabulous day with my sunshine!
though the sky's all dark now... =(

maybe change is the only constant.
but i dont like it cos it's tearing me apart from inside.

im starting to think it's karma in a twisted form, getting back at me for what i've done in the past.

my brother's leaving on a (jet)plane in approximately 15hours. booo =(

in less than a week's time, my brother would be in sydney! ahhhhhhhhh..

yes lah even though i keep telling everyone "it's good he's leaving cos he's been misbehaving lately" but i know im gonna miss him real bad when he's not around!

i'll miss questioning him incessantly before he goes out so i know where he's going, who he's going out with and what they're gonna do.
and chitchatting with him abt totally random stuffs when we're at the supermarket every sunday.
and laughing with him at my mother when she makes mistakes in speech.
and him asking me for opinions before he goes out as he models in front of my mirror although he has one in his room too.
and him showing me all his buys from shopping, sometimes trying them on for me to see.
and his antics that tickles all of us
and him doing weird stuff like going downstairs to wax the car at 2am.
even just him walking around the house lah =(
omg i can already imagine how horrible im gonna feel on the 19th.

yes even though i keep telling everyone he's a selfish and spoilt brat who doesnt spend wisely... he's my brother after all.
he has grown up so much over the past 2 years.

he has installed the webcam program in my laptop already, and he said we can sms him anytime from singapore because we're only liable for local sms charges.

he's scheduled to be back on december 9th, so he's gonna miss my 20th birthday.
i wish i can visit him in september when his girlfriend goes to look for him, but the last time i asked he wasnt quite agreeable leh..
ahh but i want to go to sydney too =(

there's this Chinese saying that it takes 10 reincarnations for siblings to be siblings (or something like tt) so yeah, love your sibling(s) people!

wooo i just lodged a police report on lost property! so cool - now you can lodge police reports online! hahahhaa and it seems a little ironic because im doing something not quite legal in the first place.. lol shhhh. oh yes, this post is to show those who've heard, but havent got the chance to see the latest addition to the funky Yeo family!

TA-DA!!!!!!
this is Whisky.
he's a walsh corgi, male, about 4months old.
very, very cheeky and he loves to disturb pinky, the queen.
he is not toilet-trained yet, so it's not a surprise to see a pile of black black balls lying around whenever he's let out of his cage.
he lies down very cute-ly!

yesterday was supposed to be a terrific day, but it had to come to an end in a lousy way.

07.07.07. maxwell hawker centre. red dot design museum. ray's $1 throws. candy floss. esplanade. chit-chat. ndp preview! failed attempts at couplecouple shots. my family. fireworks! hk cafe. peeps at kissy couple beside me. die-hard 4. (awesome movie!)

after the movie i checked the pocket of my bag where i kept my phone and it was empty. i panicked, thinking i'd dropped my phone somewhere cos i couldnt recall placing it back. and then i found that it was inside the larger compartment of my bag.
but i realised my ez-link card was in that same compartment too. searched my bag thoroughly and couldnt find it.
spent the next 50minutes running around marina square with ray, asked people if they've seen my card and no, nobody saw it.
i sobbed in his arms and a million "should-haves" ran through my mind - i should have put it back into my wallet, should have not put it in the same compartment as my phone, should have looked out when i took my phone out of my bag... but it was no use.

okay lah i sound like im over-exaggerating because it IS only a card, but im behaving this way because it is a card that bears the logo of NTU and so i cannot get it replaced anymore..

by the way the service at marina square's hk cafe is terrible! do patronise the one at orchard cineleisure instead! its much better! heh

hmm shall upload the ndp preview tickets another time.
school's starting tmr! weeee
