when i was younger, i believed that true love is when you're willing to die for that person.
as in the case where he/she asks you to jump off a building to prove your sincerity, and you'd do it.
and relationships should begin with the intention of marriage at the end.

but as i got older, my opinions changed.
i thought that relationships are merely a phase - a form of companionship through a certain period of your life, before it fades into memory as you move on. yourself.
my attitude towards 'boyfriends' and 'relationships' became more like 'trial and error' - you try this one out, doesnt work, get another one.
which is why i was usually nonchalant about such affairs whenever friends tell me about theirs.
i didnt understand their heartfelt emotions and would think they're dramatizing their feelings.
it was always easy to dispense advice from a third person point of view because there were no strings attached. easier said than done what. lol

i used to tell people my previous relationships were all crap because of foolish decisions i made on impulse.
i still think they are, but then you have to meet a few wrongs to know what's right when it comes along right?

now i know why my friends were worried when their bfs got too close to girls, why they were protective/possessive to an extent and why they'd blow their friends out just to meet their guy.
(ps: sorry wormie!)

for the first 3 quarters of 2006, life was pretty mundane.
the best part was getting into ntu, and the worst was being alone in school most of the time.
but new friendships were forged, not-so-new friendships strengthened(my girlies and vic!), and old friendships rebuilt. (daphneee. hehhee)

in 2006, i also made the worst mistake of my life by starting something that never should have.
something i'd gladly erase from my mental faculty if i could, and if not, i wish i could turn back time instead.
shouldnt have replied that anonymous sms, should have heeded my friends' advice. oh well.

and the best part of 2006 is probably the decision i made on impulse on the "14th" of November.
i watched 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', but i think i lived 'How to Snag a Guy in 8 Days'. LOL
we're opposites who share uncanny similarities that get quite spooky sometimes... i'll elaborate next time. =D

hehhehehe so all in all, it's been a wonderful year!
and im looking forward to 2007 already!
weeeee!!
